Rugged Features Abound on ESAB's DuraDrive4(R) Family of Wire Feeders

FLORENCE, SC - ESAB Welding & Cutting Products introduces its new DuraDrive4® family of wire feeders. The DuraDrive family is optimized for wire feeding with a four-roll drive system and grooved-and-driven upper and lower feed rolls to impart maximum feed force to the wire. Precision machined castings ensure excellent alignment for superior feeding performance.

Standard features include adjustable burnback and a run-in start that allows the operator to select a slow start for difficult-to-start wires. An electronic dual-speed range provides easy electrical switching from the standard speed low speed range to a high-speed range without gear or motor changes. A microprocessor control system ensures maximum accuracy and repeatability despite changes in line voltage. Remote control of the power supply voltage is also standard.

The DuraDrive4-30 features a proven, rugged, electronically regulated wire feed motor that will handle a wide range of torch lengths and wire sizes. For the ultimate in feeding performance for difficult-to-feed wires and/or long torches, DuraDrive4-48HD offers the most powerful wire feed motor in the industry. At 48 mm, this model also offers the largest diameter four-roll drive rolls in the industry, providing minimal wire deformation even under high pressure settings.

Quick-disconnect feed rolls make wire changes fast and easy, with no tools required.

DuraDrive4-48's gears are enclosed in a heavy-duty case with cast aluminum side panels to handle abuse and protect against dust and debris, ensuring trouble-free operation in demanding environments. Further component protection is provided with heavy-duty rubber-sealed toggle switches and a polyester overlay front panel with graduations that will not wear off over time.

A wide range of options are available for these feeders including dual schedule, digital meters, and pulsed MIG controls.
