High-Performance WiMax Antennas Available for 2.5 GHz and 3.5 GHz Frequency Bands
St. Louis, Missouri, USA - April 21, 2008 - Laird Technologies, Inc., a global leader of critical components and systems for advanced electronics and wireless products, today announced its suite of Dual Slant 45 WiMax Base Station Antennas. There are several product options available that operate across the 2.5 GHz frequency band and the 3.5 GHz frequency band. All of these high-performance WiMax antennas are small in size, offer consistent and reliable performance, and are designed to be fully compliant with ETSI pattern specifications.
Currently, there are four dual slant 45 antennas available: 2.5 GHz 65-degree, 2.5 GHz 90-degree, a 3.5 GHz 65-degree, and 3.5 GHz 90-degree.
All of the Laird Technologies' WiMax Antennas in this suite are ideal for Maximal Ratio Combining (MRC), MIMO, and other wireless wide area network applications. These antennas offer a highly predictable pattern and consistent performance that will be appreciated by operators deploying WiMax mobile and fixed networks. The units provide polarization diversity and the high performance operators could use to mitigate the impact of multipath that often results in poor coverage areas.
Other features include low sidelobe performance, excellent front-to-back ratio, and high level co-located antenna-to-antenna isolation. The result is a precise antenna pattern that minimizes interference and helps the operator create a troublefree wireless network. In addition, the antennas include a rugged tilt-mount hardware kit that is convenient and cost effective.
