Wheelabrator Plus Provides Service, Inspections for Wheel Blast Customers

LaGrange, GA - (September 21, 2009) - When a leading steel fabricator and manufacturer approached Wheelabrator Plus, the company was having downtime concerns about its multiple pieces of wheel blast equipment and their need for major equipment repairs. Wheelabrator Plus sales and service technicians worked with the fabricator to implement a bi-annual service inspection plan. The plan provides the customer with the tools to budget, organize and plan the necessary maintenance to eliminate the downtime concerns and reduce operating costs while improving productivity.

Wheelabrator Plus representatives Pete Bortnichak and two (2) service technicians, visited the Midwest manufacturer for the purpose of inspecting each piece of wheel blast equipment. After the inspection was completed, the customer was provided with a list of repair parts needed to upgrade and improve the performance of their machines. Pete Bortnichak states, "The replacement parts were shipped to the customer within a 24-48 hour period and resulted in the company cutting its downtime by approximately 30 percent. In addition, they replaced older design wheels with new Wheelabrator® wheel technology, the new design EZEFIT® wheels were installed on some of the existing machines. These wheels reduced wear parts consumption and helped trim the company's overall maintenance budget.

The Wheelabrator Plus team visits customers' manufacturing sites to provide blast equipment inspections. After the inspections are completed, a list of repair parts are drawn up and forwarded to the Wheelabrator Plus office for processing. The replacement parts are then ordered and shipped back to the customer within a 24-48 hour period.
