Original Press Release:

Big Window Elite(TM) Auto-Darkening Helmet Has 30 Percent Larger Window, Meets Industrial Demands

o Incorporates Performance Series(TM) lens technology

APPLETON, Wis., March 8, 2004- Miller Electric Mfg. Co.'s new Big Window Elite(TM) Series of auto-darkening helmets offers exceptional performance in all welding applications and is specifically designed to satisfy the most demanding industrial requirements. Exclusive features include four independent arc sensors and a 30 percent larger lens window than Miller's standard helmets. The independent sensors improve out-of-position welding, while the larger window provides maximum viewing capability while retaining a 4 oz. weight edge over competitors.

The Big Window Elite features Miller's new replaceable battery/solar assist Performance Series(TM) lens technology. As incorporated in the Big Window Elite, this permits 3000 hours of operating time before its two batteries need replacing. In addition, Performance Series technology offers excellent low amperage TIG response and excellent DC TIG inverter arc response, even down to 5 amps or less. It also protects operators working in high duty cycle applications. For comfort, Miller borrowed operating room technology used by doctors and incorporated a form-fitting, foam rubber comfort cushion that attaches to the back of the head gear.

The Big Window Elite helmet is available in black, two flame patterns and a patriotic Stars & Stripes design (see photo). Even with graphics, the helmet has a list price of $299, which is less than other top-of-the-line helmets. A protective helmet bag comes standard.

The Miller helmets are covered by an 18-month warranty. For more information, visit Miller's Web site at www.MillerWelds.com.
