Cleveland, Ohio- The new Vantage(TM) 300 welder/generator from The Lincoln Electric Company is an ideal choice for construction teams, pipe rig owners and rental fleet managers. Housed in a compact, corrosion-resistant stainless steel case, this rugged unit features Lincoln Chopper Technology(TM) to deliver great starts and a smooth arc for stick, downhill pipe, TIG or wire welding.

The Vantage 300's quiet, smooth-running 1800 rpm water-cooled, 4-cylinder Kubota® diesel engine delivers 300 amps, 32 volts of DC welding output at 100 percent duty cycle. That's more than 25 percent greater than many competitive units. The output range is capable of reaching up to 400 amps.

The Vantage 300 also generates 12,500 watts (peak) of 3-Phase 240V AC generator power for industrial equipment, such as a plasma cutter, pump, or inverter welder. The unit also offers 11,500 watts (peak) of 1-Phase auxiliary power for grinders and other common construction tools. Standard engine gauges allow operators to monitor engine performance at a glance, and a 15 gallon fuel tank holds 30 percent more than competitive units for extended run times (12.5 hours at 300 amps).

The Vantage 300 is simple to operate: just select one of four process modes, including CC-Stick, Downhill Pipe (for stick), Touch-Start(TM) DC TIG or CV Wire, and then dial in the desired output.

The unit's standard stainless steel roof, side panels and engine-access door deliver added protection, durability and corrosion-resistance, while eliminating the need to paint or replace rusting panels. The machine is also loaded with convenient service access features, such as a sliding (and removable) locking engine-access door providing ample space for engine and oil filter work. A battery drawer on the front of the machine and a top-mounted radiator flap allow convenient tool-less access to these systems. A patent-pending tilt-down control panel for easy servicing of internal components completes the innovative service access system.

The Vantage 300 is backed by a three-year Lincoln warranty. (The engine is warranted separately by the manufacturer.)

Lincoln Electric is the world leader in the design, development and manufacture of arc welding products, robotic arc-welding systems, plasma and oxyfuel cutting equipment.
