Wegener and SecureMedia Partner to Integrate Open Platform CA/DRM Software Solution for IPTV
DULUTH, Ga., Sept. 7 /Wegener Corporation (NASDAQ:WGNR), a leading provider of television, audio and data distribution networks worldwide and SecureMedia, the technology leader in content protection software for secure video and multimedia delivery over IP networks today announced integration of SecureMedia's Encryptonite ONE(TM) System CA/DRM (conditional access/digital rights management) software solution into WEGENER's IPTV set top. SecureMedia's Encryptonite ONE System is an open platform CA/DRM software solution for telcos and broadband operators providing digital content security of broadcast channels and Video-on-Demand programming.

WEGENER's IPTV set top, SMD-515 supports MPEG-4/h.264 and MPEG-2 decoding. The IP set top fully supports both SD and HD video, optional PVR and integration of 3rd party applications.
