Web-Based Statewide Solution Honored for Most Creative and Cutting-Edge Implementation of Enterprise Technology

ANDOVER, Mass., Nov. 15 -- Dynamics Research Corporation (Nasdaq: DRCO) today announced it has been named a 2006 InfoWorld 100 winner. DRC was honored for its development and management of the Ohio Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS). As InfoWorld's highest accolade, the annual awards recognize IT projects that have demonstrated the most creative use of cutting-edge technologies to enhance business goals.

"DRC is honored to share the InfoWorld 100 award with the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services and our partner Compuware," said Tom Kelly, DRC's senior vice president and general manager for Systems Engineering and Information Technology. "The Ohio SACWIS program is an exemplary model of inspiring project leadership and teamwork by DRC employees, consultants, and state employees focused on protecting the children and families of Ohio."

The system is the first newly-built, web-based statewide solution developed in nearly ten years and has been in production operation since August 2006. It streamlines communications between child services agencies across all 88 counties in Ohio. With real-time access to critical information, county children's services agencies can make informed decisions that will help protect children and provide needed services to their families with increased efficiency.

Since 2004, DRC has worked with state officials and Compuware to develop and train users on the Ohio SACWIS web-based solution. The system provides Ohio with the combined best elements of a system transfer and a custom development while eliminating the risks and negatives associated with each of these approaches alone. Ohio's business processes for child protection and family preservation activities serve as the basis for the system's workflow. One-time data entry populates system views, making it easy to compile documents and reports needed to support case activities, program accountability and management statistics. System alerts and ticklers provide much needed reminders that keep workers and supervisors abreast of the activities associated with each case.
