WeatherBug Showcases New Mobile Weather Application at BREW 2007

WeatherBug Mobile Weather, a Finalist in the BREW 2007 Developer Awards, to be Featured at WeatherBug's Booth #37

SAN DIEGO, June 20 - WeatherBug®, the leading provider of live, local weather information services for consumer and professional users, announced today it will demonstrate its BREW® application, WeatherBug Mobile Weather, at the BREW 2007 Conference, being held June 20-22 in San Diego. WeatherBug Mobile Weather provides consumers with live local weather information and time-lapse cameras, severe weather alerts, detailed seven-day forecasts and animated local radar as well as international conditions, forecasts and satellite imagery.

Users can quickly download the WeatherBug Mobile Weather application to BREW handsets, allowing for access to live, local weather conditions-available exclusively from WeatherBug through its dense network of WeatherBug Tracking Stations and sensors. This information, which is also perceived as a value add from their mobile operator, helps consumer and professional users to better plan their day, and in the case of severe weather, can also help them to protect lives and property.

WeatherBug, a BREW developer since December 2006, is also a finalist for the QUALCOMM BREW Developer Awards, a program to honor and promote innovative applications and services created by publishers and developers from around the world. WeatherBug Mobile Weather was selected as a finalist in the Best Business/Productivity Application category. Nominees in this category are BREW applications designed to enhance user productivity via wireless phones, either through enterprise or consumer services.

"Consumer and enterprise users want the same ease of accessing weather on their mobile device as they do on their PC. Just as important, they want to know the data they receive is timely, accurate and relevant to them, not from miles away or hours old," said Chris Brozenick, vice president and general manager of mobile at WeatherBug. "Through a unique combination of information from the WeatherBug Network and an aggregated supply of weather information from the National Weather Service and others, WeatherBug is the only company who can provide the depth of live, local weather information that mobile users around the world require and expect from their mobile carriers. We are extremely pleased to feature WeatherBug Mobile Weather at this prestigious industry event and honored to be a finalist in the BREW Developer Awards."

WeatherBug's weather information is aggregated from publicly available sources worldwide and is combined with its key asset - a proprietary network of weather sensors - to make the WeatherBug Network the largest live, local weather network in the world. The data from this network is relied upon by consumers, television broadcast partners, businesses, energy companies and federal, state and local government agencies every day. In addition, WeatherBug has formed a strong public/private relationship with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Weather Service (NWS). As a result, weather information from the WeatherBug Network is available to the NWS at any time.
