WOBURN MA -- Ponn Machine Cutting Company, a leader in precision custom seals and gaskets, has expanded its waterjet cutting operations to meet expanded demand from medical device, consumer and military electronics OEMs. Ponn has focused its increased capacity on production of smaller parts with higher tolerances.

According to Ponn Machine General Manager Mark Pellicio, “In addition to expanded high-volume production our waterjet cutting operations feature reduced setup and lead-times for custom seals and gaskets cut from elastomers, foams and sponges. We can import a customer’s electronic file and go into production of their rubber seals or gaskets in minutes,” Pellicio concluded.

Ponn’s waterjet cutting utilizes water under extreme pressure to produce custom parts with cleaner edges and straighter cuts than with traditional cutting methods.
