Pump Keeps Its Cool Handling Challenges of Raw Sewage, Industrial Wastewater, Effluent, and/or Contaminated Liquids During Intermittent or Continuous Operation

Somerville, NJ: In responding to customers' demand for a versatile, heavy-duty, reliable submersible wastewater pump, Pumpex has introduced Models K60 and K63. The innovative, non-clogging submersible centrifugal sewage pumps are designed to handle pumping of solids, fibrous material, sludge, and other materials found in sewage, industrial wastewater, and other contaminated liquids without suffering failure due to heat generation.

Model K60 and K63 feature a durable, proprietary motor and pump unit that is constructed as a single, compact unit set into an air-filled, water-tight casing. The motor is able to handle both intermittent and/or continuous operation in wet sump installations. The pumps are available from 1.3 through 4.7 HP motor sizes, single and three phase, producing flows through 280 GPM and heads of 84 feet.

Designed for ease in use and ease in maintenance, when installed in a wet well, the K60 and K-63 are lowered on guide rails and permanently and automatically mounted to the well bottom, eliminating the need for personnel to enter the wet-well for any reason. A portable version of the pump, fitted with hose or flange connection, is also available.
