Metalfab, Inc., a leading manufacturer of dry solids processing equipment, has announced availability of their compact Metatech(TM) (16" x 14" footprint) direct drive volumetric screw feeder for highly accurate metering of powders, pellets, flakes, and agglomerates.
Specifically designed and engineered to provide maximum operating efficiency and flexibility with minimal maintenance, the Metatech(TM) feeder features only 2 or 3 moving parts (depending upon screw size), O-ring seals for safe, dust-free operation, and a Teflon® rear seal for years of maintenance-free service. Interchangeable screw/tube combinations from 1" to 6" permit feed rates from 0.3 to 550 cu. ft./hr. and a unique agitator/conditioner screw completely fills the feed screw for high accuracy of ±1 to 1 ½ %.
The feeder's versatile design also accommodates other Metalfab upstream/downstream equipment such as Convey-All(TM) FSC Flexible Screw Conveyors, VTC Vibratory Tube Conveyors, bulk bag unloaders, Posibin(TM) Bins and Bin Activators, hoppers, bag dump stations, dry material blenders, and belt feeders.
