eOn Communications Announces General Availability of Its eNterprise Family of VoIP Telephones

SAN JOSE, Calif., May 8 -- eOn Communications Corporation(TM) (NASDAQ:EONC), a leading provider of telecommunications solutions, has made generally available its new eNterprise Voice Over IP (VoIP) family of telephones.

eNterprise telephones are offered as VoIP compliant desktop options for eOn Communications' Millennium(R) Converged Communications Platform.

The eNterprise VoIP telephones leverage IEFT's Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) for IP broadband connectivity, IEEE 802.af to provide flexible Power over Ethernet (PoE) options, liquid crystal displays and easy one-touch operation to the hundreds of time proven business communications features of the Millennium. Enterprises of any size can now leverage the economics and flexibility offered by converged networks without compromise in business communications features or platform reliability.

"eOn Communications has been an instrumental partner in helping us to unlock the business potential of converged networks," said Jim Rao, Director of IT at CDC Small Business Finance of San Diego, CA, a early user of eNterprise VoIP telephones. "eOn's eNterprise VoIP telephones have saved us thousands of dollars per month by eliminating legacy telephone charges incurred in networking our remote offices."

CDC Small Business Finance operates a total of seven locations throughout California and Arizona. In addition to network costs savings, the firm enjoys the ability of the eNterprise VoIP telephones to extend the advanced capabilities of the Millennium to all company remote locations, including centralized voice mail, auto attendant and the ability to simultaneous ring office extensions and employee cell phones when loan applicants call.

"In addition to the obvious network costs savings, eOn VoIP solutions allow businesses to cost effectively deploy advanced communications capabilities to even the smallest of remote offices and home-based employees," stated David Lee, Chief Executive Officer, eOn Communications. "This can dramatically increase the productivity of distributed organizations and can allow them to present a single face to their customers and to better respond to their needs."

eNterprise VoIP telephones are offered in 32-button and 22-button configurations. Each is equipped with a factory-installed LCD display, speakerphone and integrated headset jack.

eNterprise VoIP telephones are currently available worldwide, and are offered through the eOn Communications' Millennium partner network. For more information about eOn's solutions visit www.eoncommunications.com.
