VoIP Portable Phone Using WiMAX to be Displayed at 2008 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona by NetIndex, Kaga Electronics and Runcom

BARCELONA, Spain, February 14 -- NetIndex Inc. (headquarters at Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO Masayasu Uno, hereafter "NetIndex") and Kaga Electronics Co., Ltd. (headquarters at Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, President and COO Tomohisa Tsukamoto, hereafter "Kaga Electronics") and Runcom Technologies Ltd. (headquarters at Israel, CEO & Founder Dr. Zion Hadad, hereafter "Runcom") have succeeded in jointly developing a VoIP portable telephone using the WiMAX (IEEE802.16e) data communications module. Thus, at the 2008 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (previously 3GSM show) one of the largest and most advanced Mobile Communication shows in the world, these companies will be displaying their VoIP portable telephone using WiMAX which achieves All-IP voice communication.

Development of the product to be displayed, a VoIP portable telephone, was successful thanks to the cooperation of Runcom, a leading WiMAX chipset manufacturer, in installing the Runcom WiMAX (IEEE802.16.e) data communications module in this product. This portable telephone realizes All-IP voice communication, and also enables execution of high-speed mobile data communications solutions such as a Web browser connected to the Internet. This product will be displayed at Runcom's booth at this show (Hall 4, Booth #4-1HS01), and will be introduced to visitors.

This product contains WiFi, and also is completely suited to business enterprises where the use of wireless solutions other than WiMAX such as 3G, PHS, and internal PHS is possible.

NetIndex and Kaga Electronics have cooperated in development of this portable telephone, and Kaga Electronics is conducting its sales as the general sales agent of this product. Further, there are prospects that these two companies will jointly develop a mobile broadband portable telephone for business enterprises, using next-generation communications technology.

NetIndex is aggressively pursuing development of products using next-generation high-speed wireless communications technology.
