Sheffield, MA-August 4, 2006-Sheffield Plastics Inc., a Bayer MaterialScience Company, announces that its VIVAK HT(TM) Sheet can be thermoformed with 3M(TM) Chrome Graphic Film for a glossy, chrome appearance in finished signs that are extremely durable and cost effective.
3M Chrome Graphic Film can be applied to the first or second surface of indoor and outdoor single film layer signs mounted in an internally illuminated sign box. Graphics can be thermoformed directly on VIVAK HT sheet. When used correctly, 3M Chrome Graphic Film has a medium to long-term life expectancy and warranted under 3M(TM) MCS(TM) Warranty.
VIVAK HT Sheet is a copolyester blend that offers superior impact resistance, many times that of Impact Modified Acrylic (IMA). When decorated with 3M Chrome Graphic Film, VIVAK HT Sheet easily thermoforms into virtually any shape for a shiny, translucent finish.
In addition to its durable construction, VIVAK HT Sheet forms uniformly at lower temperatures, for greater detail and deeper draws, without the webbing and sag usually associated with acrylic. VIVAK HT Sheet works equally well with either one or two-sided heating, requires no drying before thermoforming, and also cools faster than IMA, allowing for a more productive and profitable workspace.
