Next Generation of Toshiba Teli Progressive Scan Cameras Feature 60 Frames-Per-Second Speed, VGA Resolution & Partial Scan
IRVINE, CA, DECEMBER 28, 2005 - Toshiba Teli America, Inc., the North American subsidiary of the Toshiba Teli Corporation, today introduced its next generation of economically-priced, progressive scan monochrome video cameras: the CS8560D (1/3-inch CCD) and the CS8570D (1/2-inch CCD) with 60 frame-per-second (fps) speed, 640 x 480 (VGA) resolution, asynchronous restart/reset, and partial scan read out.
Both cameras are designed for factory automation applications, such as part presence and inspection, and for semiconductor assembly including bonding and pick & place. The cameras are equally useful in robotics and general machine vision tasks where size, weight, high frame rate and flexibility are important. The cameras receive high marks for their 60fps (non-interlaced) and 120fps (interlace) frame rates that assure easy integration with a low-cost frame grabber to produce a competitively priced, complete solution.
Featuring identical compact housings, these "ultra-cube" cameras measure 29 x 29 x 26.5mm, making them ideal for where space is limited and a full-featured camera is required, or as an upgrade for where remote head cameras have been used in the past due to space restrictions.
Other key features are: C-Mount, random trigger shutter (RTS), multiple shutter speeds, 1/4 or 1/2 screen partial scan mode for faster read out rates, and internal/external synchronization.
