Everest VIT® Introduces New XL Pro Plus Video Borescope
New XL PRO(TM) Plus features Full Motion Video Recording and Streaming Digital Video
Flanders, New Jersey - May 25, 2004 - Everest VIT, the leader in the development, sales, rental, training and on-site service of Remote Visual Inspection (RVI) equipment, announces the market introduction of the VideoProbe® XL PRO Plus video borescope with ground-breaking digital video features. Already the industry's most advanced and versatile video borescope, the VideoProbe XL PRO system extends its product line capabilities with the new XL PRO Plus. Enhancements to this new inspection tool include CompactFlash® removable storage media, the ability to record and playback over two hours of DVD format MPEG2 video and a USB streaming digital video port.

The VideoProbe XL PRO Plus system will accept any storage capacity size Type I CompactFlash (CF) card, now available with up to 4GB capacity. The XL PRO Plus features the ability to record digital still images and MPEG2 or MPEG1 video either on its internal 32MB flash memory or on the removable CF cards. Like earlier XL PRO systems, the ergonomic hand-piece not only provides a high-resolution, color LCD screen for view and playback, but also allows one-handed operation of the joystick to provide All-Way® camera articulation and menu control. The XL PRO Plus also offers users the capability to stream digital video directly to a personal computer via its USB streaming video port.
The XL PRO Plus is available in all XL PRO probe diameters - 3.9mm, 5.0mm, 6.1mm, 7.3mm and 8.4mm. As with currently available XL PRO systems, the XL PRO Plus is equipped with Everest VIT's exclusive iVIEW(TM) image management platform; integrated temperature warning system; AC, DC, or battery operation for total portability; three measurement modes - ShadowProbe®, StereoProbe® and comparison; and a shipping/operating case. Current users can upgrade their existing XL PRO systems by replacing their current processor/light source with the new XL PRO Plus version.
