Victaulic Announces Availability of K14 and K16.8 Early Suppression Fast Response Pendent Sprinklers
EASTON, PA - Victaulic, the world's leading producer of mechanical pipe joining systems, today announced the availability of the K14 Model V4402 and K17 Model V4404 Early Suppression Fast Response (ESFR) Pendent sprinklers.
These ESFR sprinklers are c-UL-us Listed for use in accordance with the ESFR sections of NFPA 13.
The sprinkler is constructed of a robust die cast brass frame with stainless steel operating components to ensure long life and prompt, precise activation. The Teflon(TM) coated Belleville spring seal is a time tested feature which provides excellent resistance to corrosive water supplies, thus ensuring a long term water-tight seal.
The Model V4404 has a K-Factor of 16.8 imp/24.25.I. to reduce the required operating pressures and possibly eliminate the need for a fire pump. With a maximum working pressure of 175psi/1200kPa, the maximum ceiling height for these sprinklers is 40 feet/12.2 meters and the maximum commodity height is 35 feet/10.7 meters.
