Pulizzi Engineering, Inc. Announces The VPC2864 Series, 3 Phase Power Distribution Unit With Current Meter
Santa Ana, CA- Pulizzi Engineering, Inc. announces the release of the new VPC2864 series of 3 phase vertical power distribution units. This innovative series includes current metering on each phase to properly balance and load the system. The 3 phase power input provides high power density, allowing 48 amps continuous power at 120 volts single phase. The unit provides (30) receptacles and can be configured with either 15 amp "three-prong" receptacles (NEMA 5-15R), or 20 amp "T blade" receptacles (NEMA 5-20R). The unit is 70" tall and only 2" deep, with the outlets spaced over the length of the unit. The spacing places the outlets near the installed equipment. This reduces cable clutter and eases installation. The vertical mounting requires no rack space, allowing the unit to mount in the back or side of the rack enclosure (referred to as a "0U" mounting).
The VPC2864 series features a 2 digit current meter display. There is a three position switch to select which phase is being monitored. This allows the installer to properly balance the phase current, which prevents the problems associated with unbalanced 3 phase loading. The current meter allows full use of the electric outlet capacity by measuring the actual current draw. This reduces costs by preventing unused capacity. The meter allows non technical personnel to easily add or remove devices without running the risk of overloading circuits.
The VPC2864 enclosure is rugged steel with a black powder coat finish. The unit is 68" tall without the mounting brackets and 70" with the standard brackets installed. (Optional brackets allow mounting to virtually any rack or any location.) The input power connector is a 3 phase 120/208 volt 20 amp, NEMA L21-20P, connector and 9 foot power cord.
