Varactors Fit Low Voltage Systems
Hauppauge, New York... Offering a tuning range of 0.5V to 2.5V, the new Zetex ZV950 series of hyperabrupt varactor diodes is designed to meet the requirements of 3 volt frequency control and filtering systems.
Characterized by close tolerance C-V curves, these new varactors provide high Q operation at a reverse voltage as low as 0.5V. Typically 10pA, the low leakage current of these devices insures excellent phase noise performance.
These low voltage varactors are available in the miniature SOD 523 package. For a bias voltage of 0.5V and frequency of 1MHz, nominal capacitances of the ZV950, ZV952 and ZV953 are 9.5 pF, l9pF and 45pF respectively. For close tuner matching requirements, Zetex has also introduced a dual common cathode variant. Having the same characteristics as the ZV953, the ZMDC953 offers two low voltage varactors in a single SOT package.
Zetex ZV950 series varactors are ideal for crystal oscillator temperature stabilizing circuits, the loop and filter sections of phase lock loops, and any product design containing frequency control and filtering functions.
The 3,000 piece price is $0.285 each. Delivery is quoted at 4-6 weeks in production volumes.
