Vacuum Table secures flat, thin parts.

Press Release Summary:

Suited for aerospace, medical, and electronics parts, dense hole VacuMate(TM) can secure small surface area workpieces without customization of table. Airflow-optimized vacuum ports are arranged in dense pattern, and recessed vacuum chambers promote optimal vacuum distribution. Stock can be secured within seconds, ready for machining operations, and gas-permeable substrate serves as vacuum diffuser. Each module measures 12 x 18 in. and can be combined to measure total of 24 x 36 in.

New from Datron - Dense Hole VacuMate(TM) Table for Flat Thin Workpieces

[MILFORD, NH - APRIL 2008] Ideal for aerospace, medical, and electronics parts, the new dense dole VacuMate(TM) is the next generation vacuum table from Datron. It is designed to swiftly and efficiently secure flat thin workpieces that have very little surface area. Thin stock can now be secured literally within seconds, ready for machining operations. For example, users can quickly secure plastic foils as thin as 0.001" to 0.250" large aluminum sheets. Here's how it works:

This new generation vacuum table features four times as many airflow-optimized vacuum ports as Datron's first generation vacuum table. It's a denser pattern. With recessed vacuum chambers that provide superior vacuum distribution, the dense hole VacuMate can secure small workpieces without customizing the vacuum table. A low cost gas-permeable substrate serves as a vacuum diffuser, allowing the cutter to machine through the workpiece, without cutting into the table. Each VacuMate(TM) module measures 12" x 18" and can be combined to measure a total of 24" x 36".
