UV Lamp Makes NDT Inspections Easy on the Eyes and Hands!

Westbury, New York - NDT inspectors rely on the Spectroline® SB-100P ultraviolet lamp as the workhorse for MPI and FPI inspections. In critical cleaning applications, the lamp is also used for hydrocarbon contamination inspections. The lamp produces a super-high UV-A (365nm) intensity of 5,000 microW/cm2 at 15 in (38 cm), so any surface distortions or foreign substances are easily visible.

The lamp and transformer base housing of the SB-100P are constructed of a special heat-resistant engineering polymer that ensures years of rugged use. An angled transformer handle conveniently positions the lamp head for hands-free inspections. The lamp head is ergonomically designed and detaches easily from the transformer base for comfortable, fatigue-free handling.

The SB-100P has a unique Bulb-Saver(TM) that greatly reduces replacement costs due to broken bulbs. Other features include a crack-resistant, tempered glass filter, a transformer that provides maximum power to the unit and an easy-to-see light that indicates when the lamp is on. The lamp is UL listed, CSA approved and CE approved.
