Airfonix Introduces Industry's First Professional Quality USB Wireless Audio Transmitter
Ideal for Mobile Events, the New Wireless Transmitter Gives DJs the Freedom to Place Speakers Anywhere Without the Hassle of Wires
ANAHEIM, Calif., Jan. 14 /-- NAMM SHOW 2009 -- Airfonix today unveiled the industry's first USB wireless audio transmitter specifically designed for the quality demands of audio professionals. The new AFX-19UB001 provides uncompressed, 16-bit, pop-free wireless connectivity transmission from any USB-enabled audio source to any passive or active speaker equipped with an Airfonix wireless receiver. The AFX-19UB001 is ideal for professional DJs and other musicians who use music performance software running on a Mac or PC as it gives them the freedom to place their speakers anywhere without having to wire them to the audio source. This is especially beneficial at mobile events, where running speaker wire is usually difficult and time consuming. Airfonix will be featuring live demonstrations of the AFX-19UB001 this week at booth #1786 in Hall E at the NAMM Show taking place January 15-18 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
The AFX-19UB001 is compliant with the USB 2.0 and the USB audio device class v1.0 specifications. The device is a completely user friendly, plug-and-play solution that requires no software drivers or extra set up.
The AFX-19UB001 is the latest addition to the Airfonix line of professional wireless audio products consisting of wireless transmitters and receivers, including the industry's first 50W RMS wireless receiver. Airfonix products save time and wiring, and ease system hook-up by eliminating the need for wires between the audio source and the speakers. All Airfonix products are designed to retrofit any active or passive speaker, thereby bringing the freedom of wireless capability to any wired audio system. Like all Airfonix wireless audio products, the new AFX-19UB001 boasts Smart Channel capability, a patent-pending technology developed by SST Communications that automatically searches for and selects an un-congested channel from the 2.4 GHz and 4.9-5.8 GHz ISM bands. Because of this unique Smart Channel capability and dual-band operation, Airfonix products are virtually impervious to interference from other co-located wireless equipment.
Airfonix products are built upon the MelodyWing SP wireless audio solution from SST Communications. Leveraging MelodyWing's Smart Channel technology, Airfonix products have up to 12 non-interfering dedicated channels available to offer full-spectrum wireless digital audio transmission.
