Yank uses Matterform's recently developed file-listening technology, known as Sonar, to allow users to completely and safely uninstall almost any program from their Macintosh.
Most Mac programs do not ship with uninstaller programs and Mac users usually remove software simply by dragging the program file into the trash. However, this does not remove the numerous support files that most programs sprinkle liberally through the user's file system. These unneeded files accumulate on the hard drive, consuming disk space and possibly degrading system security and performance.
Yank gives users the power to uninstall almost any software, along with all its support files, with a simple click. The result is a leaner, faster, safer Macintosh.
Other uninstaller products for the Mac rely on unreliable search technologies to locate and remove software.
