Audiovox Introduces New Under-The-Counter TV's

Larger Screens, Convenience Features Designed to Boost Dealer Profits

Las Vegas NV - January 2004 - Audiovox, the leader in the Under-Counter TV market has launched its newest ultra slim 10.2-inch drop-down TV. "The VE 1020 is our most feature-packed system ever with a built-in slot-load DVD player, built-in LCD clock with alarm, built-in AM/FM radio, built-in hands-free telephone, 125-channel cable-ready tuner and remote control. The system is compatible with CD, CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3 and you get all that for an MSRP of $799.00," said Ralph Etna, Consumer Products VP of Audiovox Electronics Corporation (NASDAQ: VOXX).

"We were one of the first in this industry, building on our mobile video experience and transferring it to the home and we continue to lead the way. Our newest unit is packed with value added features and is a far cry from where this industry started with a simple kitchen TV. The popularity of our systems caught on quick thanks to the "drop down" engineering, common in vehicles, that let us develop the kitchen TV without the loss of counter space. But we didn't stop there. On subsequent models we added features like FM radio for music and news and now CD and DVD capability, a hands-free phone and built in LCD Clock," Etna continued.

Almost as quickly as the features on these systems increased so too did their uses. Now under counter TV's have made their way into the den, the workshop and the study any place where space is at a premium. The product is also big among the college crowd, providing TV in tight dorm rooms.
