IBM eServer xSeries 335 DC Power Model - New Ultrathin Server for Telco Environments
Overview
The xSeries® 335 DC Power Models are designed for telecommunications network infrastructures that require networking equipment to support dc power environments.
Both offerings are based on popular ultrathin, 1 U high, rack-optimized xSeries platforms, that enable up to 42 units to be supported in a single, industry-standard rack cabinet.
Performance features
o 2.8 GHz Xeon processor with 533 MHz quad-pumped, FSB and 512 KB L2 full-speed cache
o 512 MB PC2100 DDR ECC SDRAM system memory - 8 GB maximum
o Two 64-bit PCI-X slots support two 64-bit, 100 MHz adapters
o Dual 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet controllers
o Single-channel Ultra320 SCSI up to (320 MB/s) controller supports up to 146.8 GB of high-speed, internal data storage
High availability, control, and serviceability
o Integrated advanced system management processor automatically sends alerts via alert standard format (ASF) for critical errors or component failures
o ECC memory detects and corrects multiple-bit memory errors
o Two hot-swap, HDD bays and eight cooling fans
o Predictive Failure Analysis® (PFA) on processors, voltage regulator module, memory, fans, power supply, and HDD options
o Fast and easy to service - Innovative Light Path Diagnostics,
on-board diagnostics, and LED diagnostic panel
