CL 400 Ultrasonic Precision Thickness Gauge

Sound performance, intuitive operation and practical features to fulfill your precision thickness needs

The new Krautkramer CL 400 precision thickness gauge introduced by AgFa NDT offers real advancements in ultrasonic performance and straightforward operation. In addition, instrument capabilities can be extended with optional A-Scan and programmable data recorder features.

Fast readings minimize test times while stability increases confidence in measurement accuracy. The high degree of performance is the result of combining advanced signal processing with a large selection of compatible highly damped single element transducers.

The CL 400 displays the thickness value in large easy-to-read digits. It offers ease of operation and versatility provided by numerous useful features, including a help window to provide step-by-step procedures for calibration, probe setup and data recording; six virtual keys that change function based on the task; large hollow/filled thickness digits that clearly indicate coupling status; a velocity value for immediate reference; an alarm bar graph to recognize when alarm values are exceeded.

The CL 400 provides standard parameter setups to support delay, contact and bubbler style probes. User-defined custom parameter setups can be used to identify material type or grade, part name, description, etc.
