Ultrasonic Level Switches for Hazardous Locations
Naugatuck, Connecticut - Innovative Solutions introduces agency-approved ultrasonic level switch models U002E, U003E and U004E with a Div 1, Class 1, Group C and D rating for hazardous locations. They utilize ultrasonic energy to detect the presence or absence of liquid within the tip-sensitive transducer gap. Through pulsed signal technology, they are able to measure high and low levels in a variety of liquid applications.
All models are extremely compact level switches with electronics sealed in an extension piece directly above the stainless steel transducer and can be mounted in a variety of positions. The U002E model features a current shift output, while both U003E and U004E models have relay outputs. U004E models are equipped with "fail safe" circuits which engage when input power drops to less than 3 Vdc and restores to normal operation once input power is above 12 Vdc. Ultrasonic level switches can be manufactured according to the customer's specifications and intended use.
