Ultrasonic Level Monitor checks liquids and solids.

Press Release Summary:

Model 8000-KM measures liquid levels up to 15 ft and solids up to 7 ft. It transmits ultrasonic pulse toward product to be monitored, measures time it takes for pulse to travel to product and back, and converts result to digital display and 4-20 mAdc signal. Sensor and transmitter mount within same enclosure, making it suitable for mounting directly on containers, tanks, and small bins. Users program instrument's range via internal keypad.

New Level Monitor for Liquids & Solids

(Kennett Square, PA) --- Bernhard, Inc. introduces a level monitor for liquids and solids that houses both the sensor and the transmitter within the same enclosure.

The new Model 8000-KM transmits an ultrasonic pulse which is directed toward the product to be monitored. The time it takes for the pulse to travel to the product and back as an echo to the sensor is precisely measured and converted to a digital display and a 4-20 MADC signal.

Operating from a 24VDC power source, Model 8000-KM is ideal for measurements of liquid levels up to 15 feet and solids up to seven feet. The instrument may be mounted directly on containers, including "tote" type containers, conventional tanks, and small bins. Users program the instrument's range via an internal keypad.

According to Bernhard, Inc., the Model 8000-KM is suited for applications where it is not practical or required to have a sensor on a tank top and the transmitter in a remote location, such as at ground level or in a control room.
