Original Press Release:

New Ultrasonic Inspection System with On-Board Sound Recording, Data Logging and Specialized Application Software

UE Systems Ultraprobe 10000 is a multi-level digital ultrasonic condition analysis system. The system consists of two basic components. The first is a hand-held metered pistol ultrasonic sensing instrument with on-board sound recording and on-board data logging. The second component includes analytical software that will convert most computers into workstations with comprehensive diagnostic functions including spectral analysis, record keeping, trending and reporting.

The Ultraprobe 10000 is the latest digital addition to UE Systems popular Ultraprobe series. In addition to sound recording and data logging, system features include single-digit digital frequency tuning capability, application-specific software and screen selection for such applications as: bearing inspection/trending, electrical inspection, steam trap testing, valve testing, and leak detection.

Test data can be uploaded to the Ultraprobe or downloaded to a host computer. When data is uploaded, inspectors have the ability to compare current test results with baseline data on the same screen to spot any potential problems.

UE Spectralyzer, a full functioning FFT spectral analysis software also included with the system, gives inspectors the ability to view recorded sounds as spectral and time form images for comprehensive sound wave analysis.

Test data can be entered as either standard or Metric units. Inspection flexibility is enhanced with 23 modes for operation that will enable users to customize the instrument functions and screens to fit specific inspection needs.
