Press Release Summary:
TARGA-10® Hollow Fiber cartridges have 10-in. dia and feature ultrafiltration membranes designed to remove particulates, colloids, and larger molecular weight components. Polysulfone membrane material handles pH range from 1.5-13 and can tolerate up to 200 ppm of chlorine. With ability to reduce turbidity to less than 0.1 NTU and SDI to between 1.0 and 3.0, cartridges are suited for use in municipal and industrial water treatment plants.
Original Press Release:
Koch Membrane Systems Offers TARGA®-10 Ultrafiltration Cartridges for Industrial Water Treatment Applications
High Capacity Cartridges Lower Costs and Reduce Footprint
Wilmington, MA - Koch Membrane Systems, Inc. (KMS), a global leader in the development, manufacturing, and service of membrane elements and systems, offers TARGA®-10 Ultrafiltration cartridges for industrial water treatment applications. TARGA-10 Hollow Fiber cartridges have a 10-inch diameter and deliver 60% more product water than conventional 8-inch cartridges, resulting in significant cost savings.
By using TARGA-10 cartridges, system size is significantly reduced because of the additional flow per cartridge. These smaller systems require 50% less floor space resulting in substantial savings in building costs and the reduction in the number of skids lowers shipping and installation costs. Additionally, the larger capacity cartridges reduce the number of connections, thereby improving reliability and further lowering costs.
TARGA-10 cartridges feature true ultrafiltration membranes and are designed to remove particulates, colloids and larger molecular weight components. TARGA-10 cartridges function as an ideal pretreatment step for spiral RO membranes. They have demonstrated the ability to reduce turbidity to less than 0.1 NTU and SDI to between 1.0 and 3.0.
TARGA-10 cartridges utilize KMS polysulfone membrane material which offers distinct advantages during cleaning. It can handle a broad pH range, from 1.5 to 13, and can tolerate up to 200 ppm of chlorine. KMS polysulfone hollow fibers have been successfully in use in municipal and industrial water treatment plants across the United States and around the world for more than a decade.
KMS also offers a complete line of chemicals formulated by the same scientists and engineers who develop and support KMS state-of-the-art membranes. The KOCHKLEEN® Membrane Cleaners will help prolong membrane life, enhance membrane performance and reduce cleaning cycle time.
