Mecco Introduces Holders with Locating Attachment and Interchangeable Chase
Auto Tech 2002. Mecco Marking & Traceability has designed a holder that marks a range of diameters with features that focus on reduction of change-over times and workers safety while protecting the product from foul hammer blows. Material combinations of steel and delrin provide a versatile marking tool to identify parts.
The model PH-50 holder is made of hardened shock-steel and incorporates an interchangeable type chase. Multiple chases can be set up at the start of the workday, or shift with the batch or part numbers of the product being produced. Changeover simply requires the operator to turn the locking mechanism and holding the knob on the chase to allow the chase to be removed.
A delrin attachment surrounds the holder body to properly locate the marking window during the marking operation. By utilizing this material the product is not damaged by contact with the marking tool. Operator's hands are away from hammer impacts with a wooden handle that is attached to the delrin.
Inter-changeable type characters are available as letters and numbers in standard sizes of 1/8", 3/16", 1/4" and 1/2". Corporate logos and other symbols are available for specific identification requirements. Press style and composite model PH-50 holders are also available.
