Tut Systems Executives to Speak on Multiple Panels During Event

LAKE OSWEGO, Ore., Oct. 31 // -- Tut Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:TUTS), an industry leader enabling the delivery of next-generation data and video services over broadband networks, today announced that it will showcase several new functionalities being added to its Astria(R) family of products including the Astria(R) content processor (CP) and Astria(R) video services processor (VSP) lines. The demonstrations will occur at the TelcoTV 2006 event at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Conference Center in Grapevine, Texas on November 6-8 (Booth #921).

Tut Systems' carrier-class Astria(R) family will be extended with demonstrations of:

o T1.5 IMA network interfaces on the Astria CP for ingest of local
content at the edge of a carriers network via abundant T1.5 lines that
exist in today's carrier networks;
o The world's first IP FEC applications embedded into a commercial IP
set-top box enabled using Tut Systems' Pro-MPEG compliant FEC
algorithms;
o A new 4-port Gigabit Ethernet line module for the Astria VSP, the most
dense, high-availability RF delivery platform on the market today. The
new line module further extends the Astria VSP's density capabilities
and provides for the processing of an entire channel line up in a
single Astria VSP chassis; and
o A unified element management of the Astria CP and Astria VSP product
lines under the T-View element management system (EMS) which can
support up to 3000 Astria CP or VSP nodes.

o Sal D'Auria, Chairman, President and CEO will chair a panel entitled
"The Realities of Deploying an IPTV Headend" on Wednesday, November 8th
at 2:10 p.m.
