Degree Controls Announces MicroFlow Tunnel for Evaluation of Passive Airflow
Degree Controls, Inc., an industry leading provider of airflow sensing and thermal products, today announced the availability of the Cambridge AccuSense MicroFlow tunnel, which is designed to measure the airflow volume through densely populated, low cfm, electronics packaging.
Most small electronic products employ passive airflow for cooling. Until now, an instrument to measure airflow in the micro range has not been available. DegreeC's Cambridge AccuSense MicroFlow Tunnel provides accurate and repeatable airflow volume measurements from 0.60 scfm to 6.00 scfm. The device under test is ducted to the MicroFlow tunnel and quantitative measurements of the airflow are taken in a short period of time.
The MicroFlow tunnel can be used to validate the air flow through phones, laptops, portable medical diagnostic equipment or other small electronic devices. This easy to use instrument provides design engineers with an accurate way to measure the micro air volumes typical of passive airflow cooling and ensure the thermal reliability of these devices.
