New RIDGID® Quick-Acting Tubing Cutters Cut Faster, Easier To Use
ELYRIA, OHIO - January 2005 - Ridge Tool Company announced that it has re-launched its line of Quick-Acting Tubing Cutters (models 151-156), adding features that significantly improve end user productivity and overall value.
RIDGID® Quick-Acting Tubing Cutters offer a larger, ergonomic knob design that lets users apply more force to cut through tubing much faster. A newly designed, quick-change wheel pin enables users to change cutter wheels by hand in only a few seconds: the fastest wheel change of any cutter on the market. The quick-change pin also eliminates lost fastening clips, giving users certainty that their cutter will not go down during a wheel change. In addition, users can more readily replace heavily used wheels or quickly change the wheel according to the type of material being cut. Standard wheels typically cut copper, aluminum and brass tubing, and Ridge Tool offers alternative wheels for cutting PVC and other plastic tubing.
Other enhancements include a spare wheel that is now housed at the end of the knob for extra convenience and tougher, reinforced components that wear better and last as much as two times longer.
There are 11 models available, each offering different capacities ranging in sizes from 1/4" to 6-5/8".
