SHILDON, UK - Solartron ISA has introduced several new SST Series pressure and temperature transmitters for subsea oil and gas applications to complement its successful line of subsea flow meters. Used by the leading exploration companies in the oil and gas industry, Solartron ISA products have an unsurpassed field service history, even in the most demanding and hostile installation environments.

Solartron ISA's highly regarded SST1500 family of deepwater differential pressure (DP) transmitters operates subsea to depths of 5000 ft (1500 m). A newly released transmitter, the SST1510 DP boasts a higher 10,000 psi working pressure. As with all Solartron DP transmitters, these units utilize a unique silicon crystal sensor technology that provides a high-accuracy measurement and long-term stability, which is four times more sensitive than the piezo-resistive sensor technology used in competitive products.

Solartron ISA's differential pressure transmitters have set the global performance standard for long-term stability with a new 60-month stability specification.

The ultra deepwater SST3000 family of pressure and temperature transmitters operates subsea to depths of 16,400 feet (5000 meters) with working pressures of 10,000 psi. Two new transmitters have been introduced to complement the SST3000 family. The SST3010 GP gauge pressure transmitter and the SST3010 T temperature transmitter join the SST3010 DP differential pressure transmitter and are now available for well and subsea tieback applications.

Small and light, yet built for long-term use in hostile deep subsea environments, Solartron ISA's SST ultra deepwater transmitters feature fully welded duplex stainless steel construction and a dual compartment design with a glass-to-metal seal that provides secondary containment and facilitates oil-filled harness termination.

Every Solartron ISA subsea device is fully tested to rigorous international standards appropriate to the harsh subsea environment.

Solarton ISA, a business unit of AMETEK Process & Analytical Instruments, designs and manufactures flow measurement devices for the oil and gas industry, including its patented Dualstream Wet Gas meters that are able to differentiate between liquid and gas flows in an on-line, real-time process for flow metering at the well-head or transmission pipeline.
