Trafficmaster Adopts REG® Cameras for National Traffic Monitoring Network

REG® Cameras Specified for Upgrades for Multi-Year Project

Vancouver, Canada - October 24, 2007 - Extreme CCTV International Inc., a division of Extreme CCTV Inc. (TSX:EXC), announces that its REG® cameras have been selected by British firm Trafficmaster for a multi-year upgrade project of the UK's national traffic monitoring network.

Trafficmaster, the UK's leading supplier of traffic information, will work with Extreme CCTV's British subsidiary Derwent Systems Ltd to upgrade its national traffic monitoring network. Trafficmaster operates a unique network of approximately 3,500 sites covering 8,000 miles, including all the UK's motorways and 95% of its trunk roads. The multiyear upgrade involves replacing cameras at the end of their operational
lifetime with Extreme's REG® cameras. It is expected that all existing cameras at the 3,500 sites will require replacement with REG® cameras within a five year timeframe. Project sales have commenced and Trafficmaster has already placed initial orders for the first twenty REG® camera units.

The REG® cameras will provide high resolution images for Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) in Traffic master's journey time monitoring system. The journey time and speed data collected will be used by the British Department for Transport to identify congestion hotspots and to measure the impact of traffic improvement schemes.
Trafficmaster, after an extensive one year testing period, specified the REG® cameras not only for their high quality and high performance, but also for the level of service and support shown by Derwent during the trial period.

"A high end quality product is important to the continued provision of data to our customers and as such the decision was made to work closely with Derwent to develop and integrate a high quality camera into their existing network with the longer term objective of complete network upgrade, says Michael Savage of Trafficmaster. "We plan to continue working with Derwent for the remainder of the project until its completion."

"The Trafficmaster project is an example of Derwent's growing recognition in the ITS market," says Peter Beare, Managing Director of Derwent Systems. "Leading ITS consultants and specifiers are now looking to Derwent for the high performance imaging solutions required in this field."
