Larson Electronics' Magnalight.com Announces Addition of Explosion Proof Tower Work Light

Magnalight.com has announced the addition of the EPL-BS-70-TP1-100 explosion proof metal halide light tower to its comprehensive explosion proof lighting equipment inventory. Collapsible and constructed of non-sparking aluminum, the wheeled quad-pod tower design of this tower light makes deployment, setup and transport of this unit fast and easy. The light weight and portable design of this tower combined with its high output metal halide lamp provides operators with a powerful yet easy to manage work lighting solution.

The Magnalight EPL-BS-70-TP1-100 quad-pod mounted explosion proof metal halide light tower is designed to be a high power and highly durable portable lighting solution for operators in hazardous locations. This metal halide light tower illuminates 13,000 square feet of work space with 32,000 lumens of high quality white light that has none of the yellowing or poor contrasting of common incandescent work lights. The 70 watt metal halide lamp on this tower is designed to withstand wet and marine environments with a waterproof housing constructed of copper free aluminum alloy and a durable powder coat finish. The lens is constructed of thermal shock and impact resistant tempered glass and the threaded housing joints are sealed with non drying lubricant to provide the highest protection against water and dampness. The tower on this unit is adjustable from 4 ½ feet to 12 feet in height and constructed of aluminum for light weight and high durability. The quad-pod leg design provides better stability than common tripod designs and is designed to allow operators to simply fold the legs up when preparing the tower for transport. A set of solid rubber wheels allows operators to easily tilt the unit back and roll it from one area to another once fully set up. Breakdown and transport is simple; the lamp assembly simply slides off the main mast, the tower collapsed, and wheel assembly removed and the legs folded, which then allows operators to easily load the unit into work vehicles for transport. Magnalight includes 100 feet of 16/3 SOOW cord fitted with a straight blade explosion proof plug, giving operators plenty of length for moving the unit about the workplace or making connections to power outside of hazardous areas. This explosion proof light tower is approved for Class 1 and 2 Division 1 and 2 Groups C and D, and Class 2 Division 1 and 2 Groups F and G, UL 781 portable use approved, and well suited for wet locations where water and dampness is an issue.

"The bulk of this aluminum quad-pod collapses to 55 inches and weighs less than 17 pounds, making the EPL-BS-70-TP1-100 explosion proof light very easy to move from one location to another," said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics' Magnalight.com. "Within just a couple of minutes you can collapse this explosion proof light tower and carry it easily to storage or transport. Once assembled, operators will find this UL listed Class 1 Division 1 light tower very easy to move on the removable, offset wheel base."
