Touchcom, a G4S Technology company, is a leading end to end supplier of building management, integrated security and compliance hardware and software solutions has been awarded the Security Systems and Solutions contract by the New York State Office of General Services Procurement Services Group.
The contract forms part of a multiple-vendor award designed to provide New York State agencies and others with access to accredited suppliers, minimizing the time and resources taken up in often lengthy procurement processes.
For State and local agencies, selecting a Office of General Services contracted supplier is the smart choice for public sector procurement, enabling organizations to deliver improved value for money and efficiency. The award document notes: 'Contracts were awarded on the basis of best value to responsive, responsible, and compliant contractors within each LOT'. Touchcom's award of the contract for the Security Systems and Solutions encompasses supply, installation, system integration, software services, software development and maintenance. Running for five years the contract with New York State confirms Touchcom's position as a recognised supplier of integrated security solutions encompassing:

o Video surveillance
o Building management
o Alarm monitoring
o System Design and Integration
o Software solutions and development
o Compliance management solutions
o Integrated Security Management
Eligible agency representatives are able to negotiate systems and solutions directly with awarded suppliers; as Touchcom has successfully negotiated a competitive bidding process the contract maximises security and safety value for State departments and other eligible agencies.
Users authorized to purchase from the contract include state agencies, authorities and political subdivisions, as well as eligible non-state agencies, including:
o Any officer, board, or agency of a political subdivision, or of a district therein
o Volunteer fire companies
o Boards of Cooperative Educational Services
o Institutions for instruction of the deaf and of the blind
o Nonprofit public television corporations
o Voluntary ambulance services
o Nonprofit public radio corporations
o Any public authority or public benefit corporation of the State
