Siemens Multi-Panel Simatic® MP 370 Touch Screen Features Largest Display In Class, Superior Brightness


Alpharetta, Ga., September 6, 2002 - The Multi-Panel SIMATIC® MP 370 15" Touch Screen from Siemens Energy & Automation features the largest display in its class and superior brightness delivering excellent operator readability and visualization.

The MP 370 has a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and up to 256 colors. The unit is well suited for industrial use because of its rugged design.

It is the newest member in Siemens Windows CE-based multifunctional platform family that includes the MP 270B and MP 370 with 10.4" and 12" screens. Like the 12" MP 370, integrated interfaces on the 15" MP 370 make it possible to connect the unit to the Simatic S7, S5 and 505 controllers, as well as PROFIBUS DP and a wide range of PLCs from other manufacturers.

The MP 370 also interfaces with office TCP/IP over the integrated Ethernet port. I/Os including a mouse, keyboard and printer can be connected via the on board USB port.

Expansion slots for PC cards and compact flash allow for additional add-ons. Like all Simatic operator panels, the visualization system is configured using the ProTool software.
