New Vertical Models of MASTER/SETCO FlexCenter(TM) Modules Provide Standard Solution for Vertical Manufacturing Challenges
CINCINNATI, OH (April 11, 2002) -MASTER/SETCO adds the new vertical FlexCenter(TM) models to its line of standard multi-axis modules. Using its standard building block design, three vertical machine configurations bring three high productivity modules to dial, transfer line, and cell applications: FlexCenter FC350-V, FC450-V and FC630-V.
These vertical FlexCenter models, with work cubes from 14" to 25", are offered as vertical spindle, vertical turret, platen configurations and as basic multi-axis modules or completely integrated CNC "plug & play" packages.
The FlexCenter FC350-V is the smallest model with a 14" work cube and can be configured with a 5 Hp vertical spindle and 40 taper or HSH63 tooling. It also is offered with an optional vertical 4 Hp spindle turret and HSK40 tooling for increased productivity.
The FlexCenter FC-450-V with an 18" work cube can be configured to include a 10 Hp spindle and is offered with 40 taper or 50 taper, HSK 63 or HSK100 tooling. The FC450-V is available with an optional 10 Hp spindle turret and HSK50 tooling.
The largest vertical configuration with a 25" work cube, the FC630-V can be configured with a 20 Hp spindle with 50 taper or HSK100 tooling. It can be configured with either a 7 1/2 Hp or 10 Hp spindle turret and HSK50 or HSK63 tooling.
The FlexCenter is equipped with many standard features that competitors consider extra-cost options or do not offer at all. These include centralized maintenance, hardened ways with Trabon auto-lube, steel way covers, way and valley wipers, steel tubing for lube and air lines, vertical axis counterbalance with air recovery system, waterproof electrical enclosures, and more.
As options, to meet special application needs, the FlexCenter can be configured with linear bearing ways, extended travels, a choice of CNC control with standard control interface packages, a portable hand-held setup controller, and more.
