New MTC Integral Shank Toolholders from Manchester Tool
Akron, Ohio...A new, integrated line of toolholders and specially designed inserts was recently introduced by Manchester Tool Company, leaders in the manufacture of cutoff, grooving and threading tools for the machine tool market. The new family of products, dubbed the "MTC System," centers around the MTC integral shank toolholders.
Featuring a double V design for maximum insert stability, the new toolholders optimize insert positioning while providing "operator friendly" insert indexing. MTC integral shank toolholders are available in stub or extended depth of cut for right or left hand. MTC toolholders exclusively utilize specially designed MTC inserts.
Currently, two styles of MTC inserts are available: the MTC-PC insert, designed with full nose radius geometry for plunge and contour operations; and the MTC-PT insert, a deep grooving tool for plunge and turn operations.
The integrated MTC system of integral shank toolholders and specially designed inserts is calculated to provide improved chip control and management.
