Helm Instrument Announces New Tonnage Monitor for the Metal Forming Industry
Maumee, OH-Helm Instrument, a leading designer and manufacturer of process control systems, force transducers and software for the metal forming industries, is proud to announce their newest addition to the LoadGard family of tonnage monitors: the PTM-4500 LoadGard. This versatile tonnage monitor accepts input from up to 6 frame or in- die mounted strain gage sensors.
The PTM-4500 is applicable to most press machines, including hydraulic, thermoforming, die cast, injection molding and forging. Built- in alarms prevent costly machine damage while high-low limits provide excellent tooling protection and consistent part quality control.
Key features include an embedded PC, signature display on color touch screen, job recipe storage, SPC charting and Ethernet connection. With Ethernet connectivity, cloud computing is an easy plug-in. Helm WebView software provides that capability. Imagine receiving an email alert when an alarm condition occurs or being able to view your plant floor from any browser, anywhere.
