New Midwest Snips® Seamer Tongs Offer Strength and Value

Sturgis, Michigan, April, 2004----Midwest Tool & Cutlery Company now manufactures Seamer Tongs made of hot drop-forged moly alloy steel for added strength. The tongs are designed to bend and form metals. They also grip and hold metal sections or panels securely in place while they are being joined. These new products are being made in the USA, and were created in response to requests by tradesmen for high quality seamer tongs that offer more value.

There are two models of Midwest Snips Seamer Tongs available-one with straight handles and one with curved handles to create more gripping torque. Both models have three-inch (76mm) wide blades and a throat capacity of 1-1/8 (29mm) inches. The two blades have raised ribs in 1/4-inch (6.35mm) increments on their outer surfaces for accurate positioning of the tongs. Overall length of the tool is 9-1/2 inches (241.30mm).

The one-piece handle and blade forgings feature massive pivot point areas which use a tubular hinge pin for smooth, precise opening and closing. The Seamer Tongs offer cushioned grips for added comfort.
