Toggle Clamps have low-profile design.

Press Release Summary:

Series 2002, 2007, and 2010 manual hold-down toggle clamps feature low profile that offers respective holding capacities of 600, 1,000, and 1,400 lb. Clearance between handle and bar in open position eliminates additional pinch points, and pivot point is closer to mounting surface to improve vertical spindle contact on workpiece. Products offer multiple mounting hole patterns, and handles accommodate Toggle-Lock Plus safety release lever.

De-Sta-Co Industries Raises the Bar .... Again With the Re-Invention of the Toggle Clamp: New Low Profile, Lean Design Series Introduced

Madison Heights, Mich., Dec. 17, 2003 - Recognized for being the workholding industry leader and receiving the first manual toggle clamp patent in 1936, DE-STA-CO Industries raises the bar again with a re-invented manual hold-down toggle clamp series featuring a new lean profile that offers over twice the holding capacity in the same envelope size as previous generation models. This allows users to substitute a smaller and lighter-weight clamp, offering customers "more-for-less" holding power.

The new 2002, 2007, 2010 series clamps (patent #6,595,507) offer multiple mounting hole patterns for additional flexibility. Clearance between the handle and the bar in the open position is significantly greater on this new generation clamp, eliminating additional pinch points. And, the pivot point is substantially closer to the mounting surface for improved vertical spindle contact on the workpiece. In addition, the handle has been designed to accommodate DE-STA-CO's Toggle-Lock Plus safety release lever as an add-on option.

DE-STA-CO Industries commitment to lean design is evident. The holding capacities of the new clamps -- Series 2002 at 600 lbs., Series 2007 at 1000 lbs. and Series 2010 at 1400 lbs -- translates to 2 to 3 times more capacity than legacy or competitive products.

"We are honored to have received a patent on this new generation toggle clamp series. This further heightens our leadership in the industry and deepens our experience in bringing success to workplace automation needs," said Jon Simpson, President of DE-STA-CO Industries. "We extend tremendous gratitude to our engineers, product managers and the entire DE-STA-CO Industries team. This innovation allows us to continue fulfilling the vision and promise of providing productivity improvement and cost-reduction solutions to our customers and the industry, The launch comes at a time when true lean solutions are critical for the livelihood of the manufacturing arena."

Throughout 2004, DE-STA-CO will continue to develop variations of this new lean clamp series including models with bar, handle and base variations. Stainless steel styles will also be available.
