RF Connectors Introduces New Reverse Polarity TNC Connectors

Two new reverse polarity crimp connectors have been added to the FCC Part 15 compliant series of connectors and adapters from RF Connectors, a division of R-F Industries. Reverse polarity, or reverse gender, connectors and adapters satisfy the requirements of FCC part 15 by reversing the contacts within the standard connector body. The RP-1216-I connector has a TNC male pin and interface dielectric in a TNC female body where you would find TNC female socket and interface dielectric in a standard TNC female connector. The RP-1202-I has the TNC female contact and dielectric in a TNC male body. Reverse polarity connectors will not mate with standard connectors and any attempt to do so will damage both connectors. Both the RP-1216-I and the RP-1202-I are crimp connectors designed for use with 2TV-400, LMR-400-UF, WBC-400 and Belden 9913 coaxial cables. They are made of nickel-plated machined brass With Teflon insulation and gold-plated contacts. Other reverse polarity TNC connectors in this series include male crimp plugs for RG-316/U and RG-58/U; female chassis jacks; female bulkhead jacks; female bulkhead crimp jacks; and female crimp jacks. BNC, N, and SMA reverse polarity connectors are also available. If reverse or metric threads are needed instead of reverse polarity, several different configurations are available.
