Titantium Solutions, Inc. Replaces Exabyte/Veritas Tape Backup Solution with Disk-Based Revinetix Volo(TM) Appliance to Safeguard Critical Network Data and Applications

Revinetix Volo backup device enables mortgage industry service provider to benefit from the reliability, speed, and flexibility of disk-based storage

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH - February 6, 2005 - Revinetix, a pioneer in Disk2Disk2Disk(TM) backup solutions, today announced that Titanium Solutions, Inc. has installed a Volo(TM) 440 office backup appliance at its Salt Lake City facilities, overcoming the limitations of the company's former tape-based solution.

Titanium Solutions provides loss mitigation services to mortgage servicers and lenders. The Volo is Revinetix' newest and most affordable, total disk-based storage solution targeted at small and medium-sized businesses (SMB).

"We used to work with an Exabyte tape drive with Vertitas software, yet the remote agent would never work," said Christian Anderson, IT Coordinator for Titanium Solutions. "With the Revinetix Volo, the idea that you can easily backup a remote server is very appealing. We now backup three servers with more than 200 Gigabytes of office data, FTP and Exchange files. We also plan to soon backup our SQL database and Web applications with the Volo. Now that disks are getting less expensive, I think it's a great solution compared to tape."

Revinetix Value-Added Reseller (VAR) Valcom assisted Titanium Solutions in selecting the Volo appliance.

"The Volo fit exactly what our customer needed," said Mike Linton, Account Manager for Valcom. "It was a solution where other solutions didn't work. It also got rid of the annoying tape changes and daily headaches of using tape drives. Not only was the customer pleased, but now we, as a reseller for Revinetix, have a solution that we didn't have before for our customers. The Volo isn't as big as a whole SAN solution, yet it does all of the backups that small and medium businesses need today."

Designed for SMB Network Administrators and IT Managers, the innovative Volo appliance ships in a desktop form-factor chassis with serial ATA (SATA) hard disk(s), complete preinstalled management software, and optional support for removable disk archival. In addition, every Volo desktop appliance includes Bare Metal Restore (BMR) software that allows users to image a client's system directly to the appliance, allowing most systems to be recovered in less then 20 minutes.

The Volo can also be software upgraded to support data archiving and replication - features standard in Revinetix' fault tolerant RAID 5 Sentio(TM) line of backup solutions. This upgrade option enables critical data to be conveniently archived to a removable USB drive and taken off-site for safe keeping. Further, the software upgrade enables a Volo appliance to be replicated to other remotely located Volo or Sentio devices.

"We now connect USB hard drives to the Volo to take data offsite weekly," Anderson continued. "I like the convenience of how much data the Volo can backup. I can even keep data locally and not always have to go back to tape or external disk to recover data. The Revinetix GUI is also very interactive and easy to use, easy to backup and easy to restore."

The Volo backup appliance includes Revinetix' intuitive RevOS(TM) software pre-loaded on best-of-breed hardware to enable seamless installation into existing IT infrastructures, as well as management without any additional 3rd party software. Users need to simply plug the appliance into a 10/100 Ethernet switch and let RevOS guide them through the simple configuration process.

Two Volo models are now available - the Volo 400 and 440 series. The 400 series comes with 400GB of capacity, while the 440 offers 400GB mirrored hard disks for enhanced RAID protection. The 400/440 models will be priced at $2995 and $3495, respectively. One-year return-to-depot hardware warranty and software maintenance agreements are included. Extended software maintenance agreements are available at time of purchase or on an annual basis. Optional archiving upgrades are priced at $995.
