Original Press Release:

Solenoid Valve Control

A repeat cycle timer control for solenoid valves, which provides for easy system installation, is offered by O'Keefe Controls Co. The control unit is complete with a 6 ft. cord and plug for 120 volts/60 hz power and with a 6 ft cord and DIN connector for attachment to a solenoid valve or other electric device. The control unit is offered separately or with a choice of solenoid valves. This simple control unit will periodically energize a solenoid valve to allow flow of a liquid or a gas for an adjustable period of time. The interval between energization of the valve is called the "dwell time" and is adjustable from 0.1 sec to 33 hours. The "energize time" of the solenoid valve is also adjustable from 0.1 sec to 33 hours. The repeat cycle timer control can be used to discharge water collected in pipes, tanks, filters or refrigeration dryers in compressed air systems. The solenoid valve opens periodically for a short duration and discharges water into a drain or sump. The timing control/solenoid valve is also used for injecting or spraying liquids. Applications include:
- Water spray for produce cooling
- Water injection for makeup in systems consuming water
- Automatic lubrication injection into mechanical systems
- Irrigation and sprinklers For complete specifications contact
