Lathem Time Releases Payclock EZ 2004, a New and Improved Version of its No.1 Selling Time and Attendance System

Improved scheduling and connectivity options and QuickBooks support are key features of 2004 version

ATLANTA, Ga. - April 19, 2004 - Lathem Time Corporation, one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of time and attendance products for small business, has launched the latest version of its No. 1-selling automated timekeeping system, PayClock® EZ 2004.

"PayClock EZ 2004 expands Lathem's lead in the automated time and labor management industry by introducing more options and easier connectivity to help small businesses proactively manage labor costs," said Philip Seagraves, Lathem Time's director of business development.

PayClock EZ 2004 features many improvements over the 2003 version, including flexible scheduling, ability to add holiday, vacation or time off hours in advance, an optional paid break setting, USB and Ethernet connection options and QuickBooks support.

PayClock EZ 2004 calculates worked time for employees who don't work fixed schedules. However, for employees whose schedules are fixed, the program now includes a schedule option allowing users to set the start and stop times for employees, regardless of when they clock in or out.

New for 2004 is the ability to add holiday or vacation time, or any other non-worked time, to all employees or a selected group of employees, eliminating the need to add time manually to each employee's timecard when a holiday occurs. The "Optional Paid Break Setting" allows users to let employees punch in and out for a break or meal, even if they get paid for that time, allowing monitoring for possible abuse of paid breaks within the company.

Also new for 2004 is the ability to utilize USB and Ethernet connections between the PC 100 terminal and the computer. Additionally, PayClock now supports behind-the-scenes
seamless integration with the latest 2004 QuickBooks® Pro, Premier and Enterprise edition products. This integration ensures employees' pay codes and payable hours are always up to
date and synchronized between the two applications, making payroll preparation fast, easy, and accurate.

PayClock now shares data through an export file with Intuit's Complete Payroll software. Complete Payroll is Intuit's new payroll service bureau that provides full service payroll processing, check printing and tax filing similar to those services offered by ADP and Paychex, which are also supported by PayClock.
