HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa., March 26, 2003 - The Fredericks Company, a leader in tilt-sensing technology, has introduced the new, cost-effective Fredericks True-Tilt(TM) Narrow-Angle Electrolytic Tilt Sensor, featuring excellent sensor-to-sensor repeatability and reliability. The new sensor is the lowest priced of the company's line of narrow-angle tilt sensors, and offers performance equal to that of more expensive sensors. The True-Tilt Narrow-Angle Tilt Sensor is a new addition to the True-Tilt sensor family of metal electrolytic tilt sensors.
The new Fredericks tilt sensor provides highly sensitive output, reliable time and temperature stability, and superior roll-axis properties. Its operating specifications include an angle range of ±3°, resolution of 1 arc second, and null repeatability of less than or equal to 5 arc seconds. The sensor has an overall length of 1.6 inches (40.6 mm), width of 0.3 inches (7.6 mm), and a height of 0.335 inches (8.5 mm).
Product applications include construction laser instruments and transits, aircraft avionics, geophysical and structural monitoring, machine tool/platform leveling, and medical positioning and monitoring.
