Loctite® Threadlockers Now in Both Liquid and Stick Formulas

Rocky Hill, CT... Henkel Corporation, the world leader and innovator of threadlocking technology, now offers a complete line of Loctite® Threadlockers in both liquid and stick formulations. The threadlockers are made from the authentic formulation developed by Henkel Corporation under the Loctite® brand for service and repair applications. Loctite® Threadlockers are available in medium and high strength formulas, as well as a penetrating version. They are also color coded to simplify identification.
The line includes Loctite® 222(TM) Low Strength Threadlocker, Loctite® 242® Medium Strength Threadlocker, Loctite® 243(TM) Oil Resistant Threadlocker, Loctite® 262(TM) High Strength Threadlocker, Loctite® 271(TM) Heavy-Duty Threadlocker, Loctite® 272(TM) High Strength/High Temp Threadlocker, Loctite® 277(TM) High Strength Threadlocker, and Loctite® 290(TM) Penetrating Threadlocker.

Loctite® 222(TM) Purple Threadlocker is a low strength threadlocker designed for fasteners under 1/4" (6mm) that require occasional adjustment. It is non-corrosive and easily removable with hand tools. Applications include carburetors, relay locks, headlamps, throttle body assemblies, choke assembly and fuel injection set screws, and body panel mounting fasteners. Available in 6 ml tube.
Loctite® 242® Blue Threadlocker is an all-purpose, medium strength threadlocker for use on nut and bolt applications from 1/4" to 3/4" (6mm to 20mm). It is easily removable with hand tools. Applications include bolts on valve covers, water pumps, oil pans, and drive shafts, as well as rocker arm adjustment nuts and carburetor studs. Available in 0.5 ml ampule, 2.5 ml bottle, 6 ml tube, and 36 ml bottle. Medium strength blue threadlocker is also available in 9 and 19 gm stick formulations.
Loctite® 243(TM) Blue Threadlocker is a general-purpose, medium-strength threadlocker with improved oil tolerance. It is made for fasteners between 1/4" and 3/4" (6mm to 20mm). Parts can be disassembled using hand tools. Applications include rocker studs, rocker adjustment bolts and bolts on valve and cam covers, oil pans, disc brake calipers, intakes and alternators, and pulley assemblies. Available in 6 ml tube.
Loctite® 262(TM) Red Threadlocker is a permanent, high strength threadlocker for use on fasteners up to 3/4" (20mm). It is designed for securing parts that must withstand heavy shock, vibration, or extreme chemical / environmental conditions. Localized heating and hand tools are required for disassembly. Applications include bolts on cylinder blocks, ring gears, and transmission shafts. Available in 6 ml tube and 36 ml bottle.
Loctite® 271(TM) Red Threadlocker is a high-strength threadlocker designed for heavy-duty applications and fasteners up to 1" (25mm). It is well-suited for permanently locking studs and press fits, adding up to 3,000 PSI holding power on slip and press fit assemblies. Loctite® 271(TM) replaces set screws and snap rings. Removal requires heat and hand tools. Applications include frame brackets, suspension fasteners, shock absorber mounts, and wheel studs. Available in 0.5 ml ampule, 6 ml tube, and 36 ml bottle. High strength red threadlocker is also available in 9 and 19 gm stick formulations.
Loctite® 272(TM) Red Threadlocker is a high temperature/high strength threadlocker formulated for heavy-duty applications and designed to withstand temperatures of up to 450°F. It can prevent bolts up to 1 1/2" (36mm) from loosening due to shock, severe vibration, and heat stress. Loctite® 272(TM) uses an exclusive formulation made for newer engines and high performance applications, where extreme temperature resistance is required. Removal requires heat and hand tools. Applications include bolts on camshaft sprockets, crankshafts, and shocks, idler bearings, press fit filler tubes, transmission input and output shaft threads, and ring gears. Available in 6 and 36 ml bottles.
Loctite® 277(TM) Red Threadlocker is a high strength threadlocker designed for locking and sealing large bolts and studs 1" (25mm) or larger. Heat may be required to weaken bond before parts can be disassembled. Applications include frame brackets, suspension fasteners, shock absorber mounts, and wheel studs. Available in 36 ml bottle.
Loctite® 290(TM) Green Penetrating Threadlocker is a low viscosity threadlocker designed for use after assembly. The threadlocker "wicks" along the threads of assembled fasteners and locks the fasteners in place. It works on fasteners from #2 to 1/2" (2.2 to 12mm). Localized heating and hand tools are required for disassembly. Applications include alternators, drive belts, A/C compressors, distributor clamps, and hood and door latches. Available in 6ml tube and 36ml bottle.
